I'm Zoa. It's a boy's name.
I was born somewhere in the bush in the village of Koukin, in the northern part of Burkina Faso. I'm a native Mossi, and Moore was my first language. I ate lizards and camel spiders and table scraps. It was pure bliss. But then, as a baby, I was taken one afternoon to a courtyard with nothing in it except one giant American lady with hair that I was overwhelmingly tempted to play with. She seemed like she had the money to feed me well. That's all I was expecting. Being a wild kitten, I was not prepared this lady to turn me into some lousy domesticated house cat. But alas, that's just what Amy did.
Now, several months later, Amy and I have developed a beautiful life together. It may be a love/hate relationship, but it works. We're inseparable.
So when Amy was sent home from Burkina in June, I just knew she'd never leave me here. I was right.
This blog is the story of my journey to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Big Macs... is that right? Doesn't matter.
So this is me, Coming to America.
